Not sure what you mean by "back-up" but I have tried several attempts. With an existing installation/domain and several fresh new installations. I used keytool to verify that the keystore.jks has the default password. I even deleted the master-password file, which causes asadmin to query for the old password interactively. Everything is giving me the same result.
btw, this is an Windows XP installation.
