This is odd, you shouldn't have "dev" repositories in stable artifacts...
Note there's also the notion of preferred authority (repo)

Similarly Oracle GlassFish Server will be the only supported product.

This is for unsupported (but useful) bits.
Note you can get your own packages to this repo using the
http://glassfish-repo project (we should be reviving this community project).

There has been no pubic (community, free) update made available via the update center since the release of v3 in December.
In general the default settings should work for most people and fiddling with repository definition can lead to "interesting" results.
