Have you added the new account (username/pass) to your remote MYSQL server?
You must have added user "portal'@'newserver.luzerne.edu" and its password to remote SQL server program. Try checking them carefully.
The other is, check your datasources that they are referring to their relative connection pool. Note that, each persistence provider (persistence.xml) can be specified just a single datasource.
