A have the same problem with jdk 6 update 8 + Glassfish v3 and v3.1 nightly (intalling all updates)...
I tried several examples and get the same error:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.glassfish.appclient.client.acc.ACCLogger$1.run(ACCLogger.java:149)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
...
