This is Yifeng and I tried to reproduce on windows vista as mentioned by Anissa. However I was able to launch the GUI in my case.

how glassfish was installed?Was it the usual binary installer?
answer:
I used GUI installer to install SDK bits, it is a windows executable file, the name is like this:
bits:latest-sdk-windows.exe
