Brilliant stuff Nigel, thanks a lot for the explanation. Picking up on the "shared subscription" terms, a quick search revealed a bit more of information that allowed me to better understand how it works. It appears to be a feature exclusive to Sun software (ie. I can't use this with a broker from another vendor), is it not?
