I have a realm set up on Glassfish V2.1 which is working fine for securing web applications on the server. I also have a client application that I would like to be able to secure using the realm I have set up on Glassfish. Because the EJBs required by the client application require proper authorization and authentication I need to be able to do so from the client app. I can't seem to find anything about it because all my searches bring up securing web apps which is working fine. Is it possible to access a Glassfish realm on a client application that is running outside of the application server?
