nope :) .. it splits the management of the project from the community
versions view..
the project manager can have his internal numbering or deadlines.. but
once released, the software carry on its own birthdate :)
here in the company, software releases follows the classical numbering
notation.. but internally we use yearly weeks to plan our development
cycles.. so, it really doesn't matter how you brand your release on
the market... it will be decoupled from the project schedule anyway :)
