A JDBC Connection pool could be created in GlassFish using the administration console (http://localhost:4848) or using the CLI commands. Please refer to http://blogs.sun.com/JagadishPrasath/entry/creating_jdbc_connection_pool_resource


Another way of creating connection pool and resources is using the asadmin add-resources command. The templates are available in the installation. Please see http://blogs.sun.com/JagadishPrasath/entry/jdbc_connection_pool_templates_glassfish for more details on this.
