Sathyan,

java version "1.6.0_14"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_14-b08)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode)

JDK only, I think.

I have:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_18
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_14
C:\Program Files\Java\jre6

Install with -javahome, all three versions same results. Extracting Installation files successful, but "Launching JRE" disappears with no message.

Can you do a %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -version? Is this a JDK installation
or includes a JRE also?
Do you have another version of JDK on this machine to try? If you have
you can try using
-javahome <JDKHome> to see if the installer comes up.
