The captcha works on FF 3.0 and Seamonkey 2.0alpha (both linux). But not
on FF 2.0, Seamonkey 1.1 or Safari 3.2.1 (all mac).
The pwd error message no longer appears when both fields are filled in
but the captcha has been left empty.

Anyway, I could register using German umlaut-characters forthe password
field and could login later on (on Seamonkey 1.1). So obviously encoding
works fine now ;-)
