Thanks for your clarification.
I thought that the message-destination-link is the ejb spec compliant and vendor-neutral way to specify message destinations for MDBs at a logical level (without defining the physical destination until the deployment of the bean, which might be server-vendor and RA specific).
Nevertheless, I've created a bug ticket for this one, as you suggested:
