Was there any other exceptions, warnings or other messages prior to this one?
I don't know what the problem is from this message alone. JSF is broken for some reason, perhaps the version is not compatible -- did you up/downgrade JSF in GlassFish? Perhaps a configuration error in the domain.xml that effects the classpath?
If there are no messages in the server.log, you might be able to get more debug information by turning on a more verbose log level for JSF.
