I prefer the menus. I think they're organized much more logically than the tree. I like the tags too. I don't think I'd use them too much, but I can see how they'd be useful.
One thing I don't like about the UI is some of the double rows of tabs. For example, on the JVM Options page (I tagged it 'doublerows').
