I got these errors too but my solution wasn't the same as magrawal's;

I redid the 2 commands with sudo;

sudo chmod -R +x lib/ant/bin
sudo lib/ant/bin/ant -f setup.xml

All then went well.

Hope this helps somebody in the future.
