I have the same 'boostrapped' problem on Windows XP. So I tried to startup databases and ran into different problem (could be basic?)
The last step in Socialsite Install text is
7. Run the ant setup script:
ant -f setup-glassfish.xml <------
This starts the GlassFish and database instances, creates all required
resources in GlassFish, installs the project, and makes it ready for
future use.
When I ran the script, getting Class not found:
C:\Program Files\SocialSite>lib\ant\bin\ant -f setup-glassfish.xml
Buildfile: setup-glassfish.xml
BUILD FAILED
C:\Program Files\SocialSite\setup-glassfish.xml:455: taskdef class com.sun.socia
lsite.installer.ant.Unpack200DirTask cannot be found
Total time: 0 seconds
Any ideas?
