Shutting down JMX RMI port

This is not specifically a GlassFish question. I am starting up my JMX agent and it opens 2 ports, one which is set by the -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=XXXX and one randomly assigned port.

I know I can install a custom JMX agent to specify another RMI port that I can control, but what I really want to do is shut down the randomly assigned one. We have a port monitoring app, so I can't open any ports open that I cannot control with causing IT to complain. Is there any way to disable this connector?

Thanks,
Mark
