I am confused. This command does not modify your .asadminpass file. Which GF release gives you this kind of output? With GlassFish v2_02, I get
kedar-mhaswades-macbook-pro:bin kedar$ ./asadmin change-admin-password --host 127.0.0.1 --port 5050
Please enter the admin user name>admin
Please enter the old admin password>
Please enter the new admin password>
Please enter the new admin password again>
and the .asadminpass is not modified.
Also, I want to understand why you want to do this from admin console. This file .asadminpass, is not related with admin console. It is supposed to be used only by asadmin.
