I want also to thank you for all the efforts and time you have dedicated. There is only an additional issue not mentioned before. The server is a RedHat Linux 4 running on VMware Workstation. I don't know if the virtualized nature of the nic affects the behaviour of the listener. I am going to do the same on a physical platform in this week. I'll tell you what happens.
