You can use [i]asadmin login --host HOSTNAME --port PORT[/i]. You will be asked to enter the admin username and the password and this command creates the corresponding line in the .asadminpass file. I do not know whether it overrides existing entries. But of course you could always edit the file with any text editor and delete obsolete lines.
