Yes I have it working on my server (v2UR1). The only difference to your setting is file-transmission-enabled="false". I do not know about all attributes of this element though (which is probably why I have way too many cache misses).
I believe I had to restart Glassfish - though I might be mistaken here since configuring this element happened some while ago.
