Trouble installing Glassfish on Fedora 8

Greetings:

I am in the process of attempting to install a copy of Glassfish on 64- bit Fedora Core 8.

Apparently, for various reasons, Fedora 8 uses a Java version called "IcedTea" due to some bug that causes Sun's Java to fail.

Unfortunately, while the first phase (running java with the .jar file) works without problems, apparently the ant script does some kind of check against something called "java.home". This check fails when used with IcedTea (the script says to configure java.home to a JDK -- which this is supposed to be!).

Has anyone gotten Glassfish to install and run successfully on Fedora Core 8? Or does this mean that Glassfish cannot be run there???

This is also being posted on Red Hat's forum...
