Existing installation has been detected in this directory
I am using Windows XP.
Had been using java_ee_sdk-5_03-preview2-windows.exe build.
Then had all sorts of problems with Amonfigurator

Gave up waiting for answer,
Decided to uninstall when I saw new version. Hoped bug might have been fixed.
This time downloaded.
java_app_platform_sdk-5_04-windows.exe
Took uninstall menu option off Start Menu for old Java install
Did a disasterous job of uninstalling
Left service for app server
Left menu
Letf some entres in SDK folder.
I deleted all these.
Then still saw entries in control panel add/remove. clicked on these. Windows tidied up.
Went through registry scanning for Sun/Java, deleting all keys where appropriate
Still coming up against the message for:
C:\Sun\SDK
Existing installation has been detected in this directory
What's going on?
Any clues.
I've completely obliterated C;\Sun\SDK....
