I have a little more information. This problem may be somehow related to DynamicFaces transactions. When the ViewExpiredException occurs as a result of a DynamicFaces transaction no error is displayed in the Web browser. If the ViewExpiredException occurs as a result of a HTML submit, my specified error-page is displayed.
Have I exposed a bug?
