Glassfish v2 or Glassfish v3?

I am happy with Glassfish v2 for production purposes, however, I'm having a huge amount of issues with NetBeans 6.0b1/Glassfish v2 during development of a fairly basic servlets application.

In a typical 8 hour work session, I find myself spending 75% of my time waiting for Glassfish to restart, waiting for NetBeans to restart, waiting for my project to build or rebuild, or waiting for a NB->GF deployment. My app is currently very simple and doesn't do much of anything during startup/shutdown/deploy.

Would Glassfish v3 be a good choice or could someone recommend a better alternative? I don't need many features beyond a simple, lightweight, fast, servlet container.

Also, is there a faster incremental deployment option than using NetBeans IDE deployment? Ideally, I could just point the server at my dev directory and avoid any elaborate deployment cycles.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
