I tried the following settings:

AS_NSS="/usr/lib"
AS_NSS_BIN="/opt/glassfish/glassfish-v2-b58g/lib/upgrade"

and I also tried the following settings:

AS_NSS="/usr/lib64"
AS_NSS_BIN="/opt/glassfish/glassfish-v2-b58g/lib/upgrade"

and both time I got the same error message:

/opt/glassfish/glassfish-v2-b58g/lib/libasnss.so: /opt/glassfish/glassfish-v2-b58g/lib/libasnss.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 (Possible cause: architecture word width mismatch)

It is a Intel Xeon 64 bit processor running 64-bit SLES
