Once you post your loadbalancer.xml and log snippet, we can further dig into the issue.

One basic question though, your listeners port are running on default ssl/non-ssl port(ssl port should be 443 and non-ssl port should be 80). If that is not the case, then you will always have to specify the port number with host name.
