The <tt>jta-data-source</tt> element in your <tt>persistence.xml</tt> file says <tt>jdbc/databsename</tt>, not <tt>jdbc/datab[b][u]a[/u][/b]sename</tt>. Also, the fact that it's called "<tt>jdbc/databasename</tt>", regardless of typos, makes me think that maybe you never defined it in Glassfish?
