I'd have thought you could just change your PATH.
Can you not have 2 JVMs installed at once on Fedora?
Alternatively just get the
'Java EE 5 SDK Update 3 Preview 2' with bundled jdk
from
http://java.sun.com/javaee/downloads/ea/. It has its own J2SE 1.6
in a subdirectory.
