Hi Dick,

Well, my I.T. folks wanted to use the LTS version of Ubuntu (since it's
support period extends out until 2011). When that wouldn't work, I went back
and did a distro update to feisty (Linux core-app2 2.6.20-15-server #2 SMP
Sun Apr 15 06:22:36 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux), which looks like it will
probably fix the problem since feisty supports not only jdk6, but jdk5 and
glassfish as well.

Will post again with my findings...
