appserv-rt.jar perform retries when AS is down

Hi all,

My problem is :
When my application, which run outside the AS, try to perform a new InitialContext() and then to make a bind(), I get a lot of IIOP retry when the AS is down and I can't handle the Exception.

I only use appserv-rt.jar in classpath and I think it's the responsible of this.

Is there a possibility to manage retry or to handle Exception? Is appserv-rt.jar the good jar for stand alone app?
