'zero ejb' message can be caused by two problems:
1) there are really no EJBs in the my-ejb-component.jar. or
2) all EJBs had problems and at the end there were no deployed EJBs in that jar.
You need to check the content of your jar to verify if it's nor 1), and look at the server log for any other exceptions to see if it's not 2).
