Thank you very much, it would be great if that information was in the
wiki.

I guess a mapping of GF build to Sun release number is missing. Let me
take this as a follow up action to add perhaps in our wiki.
In general our releases of GF and Sun branded app server are syncd up.
And there are no separate builds for the Sun branded appserver and GF.
Its a GF build with the graphical installer added on. The branded
version provides a smoother install experience and is used to offer
commercial support contracts from Sun.

        Thank you for the clarification.

In the future, how would I know what version Sun's offering in
comparison to a Glassfish build if Sun does use a different
build
        number?

Is there a chart on sun.com with the comparison?

        Thanks,

                Do I need to download V1 Milestone 7 - Build 48 instead,
since Sun's
Java System Application Server Platform Edition 9.0
Update 1 Patch 1
is built out of GlassFish v1 ur1 p01 build 02 - an older
build?

        Its not an older build.
Its just the way we number our builds. :) These are reset for
each
        release.
So for GlassFish v1 ur1 p01, two builds were done on code that
had the
fixes for that release, on top of the code for GlassFish v1 ur1.
The
second build b02 for GF v1 ur1 p01 successfully passed our
quality
        criteria to be released.

                Thanks,
