Judy,
I've worked with Cay to fix the issue of JFastCGI not working on Ubuntu.
The fix is pretty simple, but I need to check with the project owner if we
are ready for a new version.
On the mod rewrite, I can confirm it works, but unfortunately I can't get
the standard Wordpress rules to work just now.
I'll keep working on this.
At any rate, none of this is related to Glassfish v3 FishCat, except that
it's working fine :)
