I wrote a summary what I actually tested:

I tested the whole stack from WebService / JSF 2.0 / REST EJB 3.1
(+REST, @Asynchronous etc.) down to JPA with embeddable tests. I
didn't had time to perform load tests yet...
GF v3 seems to be stable so far. Some tests are still left...
I didn't expected GF v3 being as good as it is - it was partial /
major rewrite. It is orders of magnitudes better, than last year.
From the historical perspective: every server which was rewritten in
the past, became unusable / slow / overblown after that action :-).
In case of GF it seems to work.
