Hi Chris,

I also ran into the same thing awhile back and there was a bug filed by
Paul but it is mark as fixed. Perhaps this is a regression for b27 with
the new OI drop, please reopen the bug again.

[Issue 5018
<https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=5018>]
[OPENINSTALLER].sh installer kills Java Desktop System front panel

In addition, below is the workaround (extracted from the web. Thanks to
Snjezana!) :

Restart GNOME without rebooting the computer

    *

Save and close all open applications.

    *

Use the *Ctrl*-*Alt*-*Backspace* shortcut keys to restart GNOME.

    *

      If *Ctrl*-*Alt*-*Backspace* is disabled, type

          sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart

Thanks,

-Nolan
