As I understand it, we are to modify the existing single line.
If a file has the dates (for example) 2004-2009, then if you were
editing it today you would replace that date range with 2004-2010.
Strictly speaking (although I am not a lawyer), if the existing range is
2004-2008 then the new range would be
2004-2008,2010
because no changes were made in 2009.
