Anissa,

Ideally, the AMX DefaultValues support should solve this. But that
depends on the @Configured initializing its fields appropriately. I
don't think that can currently happen; HK2 provides the implementation.

A general solution might be for HK2 to support use of @DuckTyped
methods in an @Configured to initialize default values, or perhaps to
provide an initializer class in an annotation. Currently values are
static eg @Attribute(defaultValue="foo").

@Configured( defaultValuesClass="com.foo.bar.MyIniter" )

Barring any of that, AMX can provide the facility in the SystemStatus
MBean.
