GlassFish installation instructions [1] say:
"GlasssFish installation requires JDK 5 and Ant 1.6.5."
There is no need for an additional Ant 1.6.5 installation on your
machine. I always configure GlassFish using:
lib\ant\bin\ant -f setup.xml
and it works!
Is there some other reason Ant 1.6.5 is required explicitly ?

I don't see a need to download Ant additionally. Can you explain ?
