I hear you. I'm never on VPN either (I'm WFH also) which is how I found
out Jan's link didn't work when I looked up the bug.

With GlassFish Wiki <http://www.glassfishwiki.org> up and running,
hopefully we don't have to use VPN for at least GlassFish related stuff.
  I think we're getting closer. :-)
