We need an externally visible machine that we own

We are talking with Maven folks to set up a synchronization to ibiblio.


On a related note (which is the real subject of this e-mail), I think we
really want to have an externally-visible machine that we can control.
If we have such a machine, we can use that for...

1. hosting maven repository (by aliasing maven.java.net to that machine)
    with HTTP traffic, with rsync that let ibiblio sync up easily.
2. hosting CVS news (cvs-news.glassfish.org or something)
3. hosting Hudson (hudson.glassfish.org or something)

I forgot when but I thought at point people have been talking about
exactly such a machine (I remember seeing e-mail between sharing that
with planetjdk.org.)

I wonder if we can get such a system...
