Creating Object Type Mappings

Use this procedure to create an object type mapping between an attribute and a database column.

To Create an Object Type Mapping:

In the Structure window, select the attribute to be mapped.
- If the attribute is unmapped, the TopLink Mapping editor displays the available mappings. Select Object Type and click Map As.
- If the attribute is currently mapped, either click the Map As button in the Structure toolbar and choose Object Type or right click the attribute, then choose Map As | Object Type.
  
  The Object Type Mapping - General tab appears in the TopLink Mapping editor.

Enter the necessary information to complete the mapping.
Click on Add to add Database Value and Object Value pairs to the table. Select the Default Attribute Value option for the value to use as the default.

To remove a database value, select the value and click Remove.
