Using Rational ClearCase With JDeveloper

JDeveloper allows you to use the source control features of Rational ClearCase release 4.0 onwards (including ClearCase 2002). JDeveloper works seamlessly with ClearCase so that once you have it configured you can add files to source control, and check them in and out from the navigators.

The following topics describe how to configure and use JDeveloper to use ClearCase:

Configuring JDeveloper to Use Rational ClearCase

Adding a File to ClearCase

Removing a File from ClearCase

Checking In a File to ClearCase

Checking Out a File from ClearCase

Undoing a ClearCase Checkout

Listing ClearCase Checkouts

Comparing Files Checked In to ClearCase

Displaying the History of a ClearCase File

Displaying the Description of a ClearCase File

Note. Many actions in connection with the above are initiated from the Application Navigator. Each node in the Application Navigator represents one or more objects (e.g. files under ClearCase control), and before any action is taken on the objects, a list of them will be shown to you for confirmation. As an alternative, you can usually use the System Navigator, which is available by selecting Viewthen choose System Navigator. However, each node in the System Navigator represents a discrete object, and you must select all of the objects on which you want actions to be performed.
