Creating SOAP Server Connections

You create SOAP server connections using the Create SOAP Server Connection wizard.

To create a new SOAP server connection:

1. To launch the Create SOAP Server Connection wizard, choose File | New to launch the New Gallery. In the Categories list, expand Business Tier and select Web Services. In the Items list, double-click SOAP Server Connection.
   or
   In the Connections Navigator, select New SOAP Server Connection from the SOAP Server node context menu.
2. For detailed help about completing the wizard, press F1 or click Help from within the wizard.

Having Problems?

If the connection fails, try the following:

• Check that the SOAP server is running by by entering the SOAP servlet URL in a browser. If you can see a message from the SOAP server then the server is running, and the fault is elsewhere.
• Check that the URL, and username and password you entered for the connection are correct.
• Check that you have the correct proxies set for your machine and the firewall you use. For more information, see Proxy Settings and JDeveloper.
