Locating Web Services in a UDDI Registry

Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) provides a common standard for publishing and discovering information about web services. This version of JDeveloper has a UDDI browser that allows you to locate and use web services in an external UDDI registry, or in a private UDDI registry, for example one within your organization.

Note: If you get unexpected results when you are browsing a public UDDI registry for web services, it may be because a lot of entries in public UDDI registries are badly formed. Many are registered as an exercise in using UDDI, rather than because they are web services offering a solution to a business problem.
