About Building UIX User Interfaces

Building an ADF UIX user interface involves these tasks:

Use wizards to create an empty or basic UIX page.
Build your user interface by adding UIX components to your page, using the UIX Visual Editor and Structure Window.
Build databound components by using the Data Control Palette.
Attach event handling code to components by using the XML Code Editor.

While working in the UIX Visual Editor and Structure Window, you can use the:

Component Palette or a context menu to insert UIX components
Property Inspector or a properties dialog to set component attributes

Changes you make while editing in one tool will be synchronously refreshed in other design tools.

Note: If a UIX component is not listed in the Component Palette or context menu, choose Tools | P references | UIX Visual Editor and select the Show Expert Items option to display all components for insertion.
