Deploying Business Components as a Simple Archive

Before deploying a Business Components project as an archive file, you must have already created a project with business components using the Business Components Package Wizard.

To deploy Business Components as a simple archive:

Make sure that a database connection to the data source exists.
In the Navigator, select the project for which you want to create a deployment profile.
Create a Business Components Archive deployment profile.
Expand the profile to display the subprofiles:
- <ProjectNameCommon>.deploy: files shared between Oracle Application Server and the client
- <ProjectNameMiddleTier>.deploy: contains the class and XML files
Right-click the profile and choose a deployment option.

The archive will be create and deployed to the location specified in the profile.
