Creating, Editing and Using PL/SQL Programs

Schema objects in the following folders of an online database connection are PL/SQL programs:

Functions
Object types and bodies (UDT)
Packages and package bodies
Procedures
Triggers

Each folder contains programs of its own type. Object type bodies and package bodies are also PL/SQL programs. In the schema hierarchy, object type bodies are displayed as children of their object types, and package bodies are displayed as children of their packages.

Note: a red 'X' on an database object's icon indicates that the object is invalid.

Through Connection Navigator you can:

Create PL/SQL functions, procedures, and packages
Create PL/SQL package bodies
Create PL/SQL triggers
Edit PL/SQL programs
Compile and save PL/SQL programs
Run and Debug PL/SQL Programs
Generate Java source code
