Changing the Entity Usages in a View Object Definition

You can edit a view object definition to add or remove entity object usages at any time. Adding entity usages allows you to map view object attributes to entity object attributes, enabling entity caching; removing entity object usages disables entity caching. To change the entity usages in a view object definition using the View Object Editor:

  1. Right-click the view object in the System or Application Navigator and choose Edit .
  2. Select the Entity Objects node and select your entity object usages. If you need further assistance, click Help.

To chane the entity object usage in a view obejct definition using a Business Components diagram:

  1. Select the view object on the diagram in which you want to create the entity object usage.
  2. Choose Model | View As | Expanded.
  3. Click the Entity Object Usage Entity Object Usage icon  icon on the Business Components Component Palette for the diagram then click in the expanded view object on the diagram. For more information, see Creating Internal Nodes on a Diagram Element.

    OR

    Drag an entity object from the navigator, or elsewhere on the diagram, and drop it on the expanded view object to create an entity object usage.
