Designing the Identity and Authorization Plug-ins

In this sub-module, you learn how to design Identity and Authorization
plug-ins.

Creation of a plug-in involves design, development, and deployment. These three phases apply to any plug-in. This forms the crux of this tutorial.

We would like to introduce you to Philip, who is the manager (IT) of Timothy. Now that the Genie Source type is ready for Bill, he is quite comfortable using SES for all his needs. But, one thing that Bill is now concerned is about enabling security for various users and groups. He requests Timothy to get a list of security attributes for the logged in user, and thoroughly check if the user is authorized to view the documents.

As Timothy is not so familiar with the Identity and the Authorization
plug-ins that Oracle SES provides, sets up a meeting with his manager Philip. Philip, being a regular writer of connectors explains Timothy different design considerations.

You will watch the interaction between Philip and Timothy, and how Timothy designs the Identity plug-in for Bill.
